THE TERMS MADE WITH TIBET

London vit Bombay, 21st October.

Reuter understands that it was settled at Lhassa that the Tibetans should pay an indemnity at the rate of a lac of rubers a year, and although it was pointed out that the occupation of the Chumbi Valley under the treaty was to continue until the indemnity wes fully paid, the contradiction yesterday apparently implies that the home government has not confirmed this arrangement.

Tt was also a; at Lhassa that the representative of Great Britain at Gyangtse should have the right of going to Lhassa to settle any questions requiring his presence there,—Reuter.
