RAW SILKS—Have advanced, but the continued decline in exchange is sufficient to account for this improvement. YELLOW SILKS—Mienyangs are wanted but stocks are practically exhausted. 7 Arrival of Silk as per Customs Returns from the roth April to 28th instant are 602 bales White Silk, 40 bales Yellow and 973 bales Wild.
HAND FILATURES are firmer for Ordinary reels but for the stock of Grant reeled Filatures Sellers would accept comparatively cheap rates.
STEAM FILATURES.—The total contracts for the New Season's production is estimated at 4,500/s,000 bales. Dealers are not willing to contract further until the Cocoon markets are open.
WASTE SILK.—No change to report.
