An inquest into the: circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Esther Chatham was begun at the Shanghai Gas Company's premises in Thibet Road yesterday at 11 am, George Richard Wingrove deposed that he identified the body just seen as that of Esther Chatham. He bad known Mrs. Chatham about tour years. He last saw ber alive on Wednesday afternoon in the company's offices. He had a conversation with deceased. She was in s very excited and hysterical state, and appeared to have a special grievance against the Nursing Home. The interview lasted about three quarters of an hour. Witness had not seen deceased violent before, but the day before that she asked witness to give her a private interview in her quoiters.
