The Chief of the American Squadron, Rear-Admiral Evans, has arrived here with his family and his staff. Minister Conger rill give a dinner in his honour to-morrow, While on Monday the German. Minister, Baron Mumm, has invited him for dinner. In -the first days of next week Admiral Evans will be received with full ceremonies at the Summer Palace.
Viceroy Chang-Chih-tung called today on the German Minister and had a conference of several hours.
