Plane have been approved by the Council for the erection of 694 buildings made up as follows Western District Central District Northern District. Eastern District The cadastral survey of the Northern and Eastern Districts is being proceeded with. Eighteen new lots have been surveyed in all the districts and nineteen separate surveys have been made in connection with road widenings and extensions.
Miscellaneous, The average number of labourers employed during the month exclusive of contract work has been 3,056 as against 2,824 during June 1903.
Convict Labour.—Three hundred and thirty-seven tons of stone have been broken by the convicts in the Gaol.
