It will be remembered that Viceroy Chang Jen-chun, of the Liangkuang provinces, presented a memorial to the Throne last month, stating that he would make a tour of inspection of the cities and rivers under his jurisdiction. We now learn from Canton that his Excellency will first leave for Chénuankan to inspect the forts there, which were -captured daring the recent riots by Knangei insurgents, and which were subsequently recaptored by Col-oriel Lu Yuan-ting. It is reported that large numbers of insurgents are still causing trouble in that district.
