The course vf the Nanking City Railway can now be traced by the embankments-and gradings through the city. We are fortunate in having large net-ork of-carriage reade through the city.now we shall soon have trains rupt ning to-and from the river. The road, 1 understand, will be in running order within © year.
The drive-way round the projected park ig completed and is about five miles in extent, counting that part of the old Maloo thst forms part of the western boundary. There is so much territory within the walls that it is possible to develop all the features of a modern city.
At present the city is in its best bib and tucker and every one is discharging: year's social duties.
