London, Dec. 20.
A rambling debate in the French Chamber of Deputies on the 817
Franco-German Agreement was enlivened by a sweeping attack upon the Government delivered by the Socialist deputy M. Jaurds, who declared, amidst uproar, that Germany's susceptibilities had been clumsily wounded. German policy, he said, was occasionally brusque but essentially moderate. France was now doing what she should have done eight years ago. He denounced France's policy in rer-mitting Italy' to swallow Tripoli and Persia to share the fate of Poland.—Reuter.
