Demonstrations Against High Taxation by Land Owners Berlin, Mar. 12.

The discontent of the farmers at the high taxation and the alleged ow dities on imported farm produce has culminated in anti-Government demonstrations by several thousand small land-owners at vari-fous places in Brandenburg, notably Prenzlau and Neuruppin, where collisions with the police occurred. The demonstrators were dispersed with little damage done apart from the breaking of the windows of the local Government offices.

The discontent was accentuated at a recent meeting at which the Junkers and large Innd-owners declared that blood would be shed unless the Government alleviated their "unhappy lot."

in the province of Lippe, carrying Farmers also held demonstrations placards inscribed: "The people have risen: The storm broaks!!"
