Peking, Dec. 8.
The office of the Generalissimo today published an official report of Marshal Chang Chung-chang, dated December 7.
The report says that the Chihli-'Shantunz combined forees which have been holding Hsucowfu against several severe attacks staged by Marshal Feng Yu- 9 force since December were suc-[cessful in turning over the situation by aid of the powerful reinforeement of Marshal Sun Chuan-fang's army, and Marshal Feng's force has finally made a retreat towards Tangshan, on the northwestern border of Kiangsu along the Lumghai Railway line, leaving numberless dead and wounded as well Jquantity of arms, ammunition, and military supplies.
