Hongkong, Apr. 25.
Presiding at the annual meeting of shareholders of the Hongkong. Shangha Hotels, Ltd. Mr. J. H. Taggart to-day stated that, although the net results achieved in 1934 were HK$40,000 below 1933, the enterprise 4s in an extremely healthy condition.
This was evidenced, Mr. Taggart said, by the'net reduction of nearly the current abilities of the company during the year.
The Hotel Wagon-Lits reported an increased turnover, leading to the expectation that figures for the coming year will prove highly satistactory.
Directors of the company voluntarily reduced their fees by 25 per cent. until such a time es the company resumes the payment of dividends—United Press.
