The Directors of the General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Corporation, Lid, have resolved to recommend the payment, on May 1, to-morrow, of the following dividends, and bonus, subject, to income tax: final dividend of 2% per cent. (making. 5 per cent. for the year) on the preference shares; and a final dividend, Of 98. 0d. per share together with a Bonus of 1s. 0d. per share on the ordinary shares, excluding new shares, issued in January last, making, with the bonus, 165. Od. per share for the year, compared with 14s. 0d. for the previous year. It fe pointed out that 16s. 04. per share on the ordinary shares is equivalent to 64 per cent. as compared with 86 per vent. for the previous year.
