Economic missions to both China and Japan, and possibly the Philippine Islands, will be sponsored by the Foreign' Trade Council, it) was announced to-dai The two missions to China and Japan are to leave New York in March and remain in those countries for two months.
The Council has invited executives of 100 corporations to take part in the trip to increase their knowledge of economic conditions in the Orient and secure data which would be useful dix possible negotiation of reciprocal trade agreements.
The Economic Mission to China will be composed of at least a: score of leading business men and indus trialists, it was believed. It will take 2 corps of secretaries and clerks trained in statistical and fact-finding work to aid the mission's task—
