The famous Viennese Professor von Noorden has created in the medical world a sensation when in acture he announced a new method of treating diabetes in preference to the Insuline cure. The ow treatment consists ina severely regulated. and graduated dietary eégimo which begins with a fasting day with merely black coffee, tea, mineral water and brandy, without sugar being allowed. There follow vegetable and fruit days whereafter the dieting is worked up to meagre meat additions. Professor von Noorden stated that by applying this method he has already obtained quite remarkable results—Trans-! Ocean Kuo min, The one victory for law and order, and that a rather "left-handed" type of victory, lay in the recent conviction of Alfred Capone, brother of the notorious gang leader "Scarface AI" Capone, on a charge of income tax fraud, and his. sentence to-day to three years imprisonment in the Leavenwoeth federal penitentiary, together with a fine of G's10,000-~ United Proce.
