Sm,—This morning I took two books to the Library to change, and was astonished to be told on arrival that the Library was closed. On asking "Why?" I was told that to-day was a holiday.
I am quite aware that the Banks ale closed for two or three days for the half-yearly balancing, which îs usual, but what has that to do with the Public Library? And, more-Over, what has it to do. with the general public? Why should they be, penalized?
