A Nephew of Hitler Likes England

Plans to Settle There Eventually

Willie Hitler, twenty-six-year-old English nephew of the Fuehrer, is returning to his father in Germany after a two months' holiday in England. He is the son of Alois Hitler, Hitler's half-brother, who keeps a cafe in Berlin. Willie looks German, and speaks English, his native tongue, with an accent.

In 1909 his father, Alois, then twenty-six, was studying the hotel business in Dublin. He went to the horse show there, met seventeen-year-old Bridget Dowling with her farmer-father.

They fell in love, eloped to London, were quietly married at the Marylebone Register Office on June 3, 1910.

A year later William Patrick Hitler (Willie) was born in Liverpool.

It has been a very pleasant experience for me to be back in England after four years in Germany," he told a "Daily Express" reporter recently.

I suppose I appreciate these things because I was born in England, although it is difficult to persuade my English friends to look upon me as an Englishman.

Many of them seem to think I am directly answerable for most of the things in Germany which they consider bad. I have a British passport and I should not like to give up my Fnglish nationality.
