w Assured of Title in Badminton League The Union Church yesterday evening put the Mixed Doubles League in the bag' by beating the Country Club by 9 games to nil on the latter's courts, The visitor's first pair were Eardley and Mrs, Sinclair who met Stewart and Mrs. Gresley. The scores were 15-12, 15-11 and 15-10. It was the strong play of Mrs. Gresley which largely prevented an earlier victory on the part of the Church couple who were combining well, as usual G. Chelmis and Miss Vincent took three games from clu Pac and Mrs. Maxted, 15-7 and 15-4. The tactics of the Country Club in this game seemed to be to concentrate upon Chelmis. He came through the ordeal, however, alive and well, if somewhat fatigued.
