Attempted Revolt

Belated news of an attempted coup by the Mongol Prince Ta Wang, of the Alachan Banner, at Tingyuan-Ying, in the north-west part of Ninghsia Province, has been received.

The coup, it is stated, was nipped in the bud when, acting swiftly and drastically, General Ma Hung-kwei, the Mohammedan Chairman of the Ninghsia Provincial Government, rushed troops to Tingyuanying, seized Prince Ta Wang, and had him conveyed to Ninghsia City, capital of Ninghsia Province. General Ma Hung-kwei then undertook the reorganization of Prince Ta Wang's Mongol troops and is reported to have completed this task on Feb. ruary 28.—Reuter,
