London silver was down Ma. for Spot at 19d. and down jy forward at 18])d. New York silver was unchanged at 42% and Bombay silver was unquoted.
There was a little speculative selling. Support was small. Market steady. After the official fixing very quiet conditions prevailed.
The local exchange market opened with sellers to merchants at 1/1
Sterling and 26% USS.
The Interbank market was erratic, starting with sellers at 1/1 Sterling and 26% U.S§, but after fluctuating up and down closed with business done at 1/13, Sterling and 27% U.S.$ ana sellers at the rates.
