Can Girls Catch?

Perhaps some scoffer may say, "Can girls catch? " I should like him to ce the catch with which M. Flaherty of Australia dismissed J. Blaker of Kent. (Blaker is one of the twin daughters of R. N. R. Blaker, who made beautiful hundreds in the days when Kent was the charfipion count of England.) Blaker hit an over-tossed ball to leg: we all applauded the boundary, but Flaherty shot an unconcerned arm into the air and brought off a catch at deep mid-on of hich Bradman himself might have been proud The Australian No, 2 and No. 3, P. Antonio and H. Pritchard, are both hard-hitting batsmen. Hazel Pritchard, in spite of a small frame and almost calicate appearance, can hit the ball to all parts of the field: such is the value of wrists, timing and footwork Antonio, though short also, is sturdy and rether heavily built.
