Last Wednesday Soochow was the scene of one of the most expertly executed air raids that has thus far been witnessed in this city. The Railway Station was the objective and about 20 were killed and from 60 to 70 wounded. Unfortunately many of these were refugees. The raid lasted only fifteen minutes but was carried out with precision. The planes came from the southeast and and as they reached the city broke formation and the leader initiated a power dive to be followed by his companions. About 20 bombs were dropped.
