Kachins Fall Out With Chinese Soldiers Rangoon, June 11. One Kachin tribesman was shot dead in a fracas on the China-Burma frontier yesterday, when a party of tribesmen, visiting the weekly bazaar at the Yunnan town of Kyanhungla, came into conflict with about seventy Chinese soldiers, who took exception to the swords and guns which the Burman tribesmen were carrying.
The Kachins retaliated by burning the houses of the soldiers, who thereupon retired to British territory taking' refuge in a Chinese temple ai Bhamo, guarded by civil police.—Reuter. s a Japanese cavalry unit Inscribed on the gate
