Armistice Negotiations Reported Proceeding

Hendaye, Nov. 21.

Gen. Sebastian Pozas, Republican Commander, announced to-day that "all bars are down on aerial warfare In eastern Spain" as a result of widespread air raids by Spanish Nationalists on civilian populations during the past 36 hours.

Simultaneously with his announcement, a fleet of thirty Republicans bombers attacked numerous military Objectives near Saragozza and returned safely to their base at Valencia.

Gen, Pozas said his order was the result of a Nationalist bombardment of Castellon Almazora in Aragon, in which the hospital was set afire and at least two patients killed and fourteen wounded. Nationalist planes, he said, also had attacked Lefida, where 250 civilians, including 64 school children, had been killed during the last fortnight. At Bujaraloz, Gen, Pozas declared, sixteen had been killed and 37 wounded.

Nationalist forces to-day took advantage of clearing weather and bombed important supply centres at Sarinea and Monegrillo, engaging in several fights in the air with Republican defence planes. Meanwhile a report, supposedly emanating from behind the Nationalist lines, had it that Gen. Franco's Aragon offensive. designed to cut through Republican territory to the coast and cut Barcelena off from Valencia, would commence on Tuesday.—United Press.
