A rug flown half way around the world in seven days was presented to President Roosevelt to-day on behalf of Mr. Michael J. Savage, Premier of New Zealand. The rug, a woollen plait steamer blanket, left Aukland, N.Z., on New Year's Day on the first scheduled flight of the New Zealand Clipper of Pan-American Airways.—United Press. under a doctor's care.
