German Internal Loan Absorbed

Increase of Rin. 200,000,000 to Meet Demand Berlin, Jan. 10

Over-subscription of the new internal loan of Rím. 1,000,000,000 caused its amount to be increased by Rin. 200,000,000, says an official announcement to-day, This increase makes the issue the largest single German loan put on the market since the war.

The loan bears interest at 4% per cent, and will be redeemable during 1951 to 1996. Its purpose is for the funding of an equivalent amount of short-term credits used by the Reich for financing a programme of pul works.—Reuter.
