Cocoa recovered sharply, following Accra reports that the Nigerian delegates have decided to support the Gold Coast Ashanti Chief in the growers' strike, but later reacted in sympathy with New York cables, Base metals ruled easier in sympathy with Wall Street, whilst maize was also easier on River Plate offerings.
