The two chief conclusions drawn by Czech circles in Prague from the fact that Mr. Chamberlain has returned to London and that Lord Runciman has been summoned for a consultation are:
1. There was no "beating about the bush" at Berchtesgaden yesterday.
2. The proposals made by the Fuehrer were of a nature entitling them to consideration While the assumption that Lord Runciman would be used as an inter-me diary with the Czech Government is taken in Prague tò indicate that diplomatic methods will prevail. it is pointed out by Czechs that a solution need not be any less drastic because methods of persuasion will be used.
Mr. Chamberlain arrived at Munich lat noon from Berchtesgaden, and after a brief rest left at 1225 for home.
Before entering the plane, the Prime Minister ina short speech, expressed gratification at the warmth and friendliness of his reception, not only by the German Government but by the German people who came out into the streets.—Reuter.
