The Eastern College All Stars defeated the Boston Shamrocks here today in a thrilling battle waged for the benefit of charity by a score of 7-6.
15,000 staid Bostonians paid their way into the Stadium for the privilege of yelling themselves hoarse ever one of the greatest contests seen here in many years.
At Buffalo, where the Pittsburgh Pirates were scheduled to clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in a National League game, rain forced a, postponement of the game when it held attendance down to practically nothing, although the teams were prepared to play despite the adverse weather conditions.
At Los Angeles, the home town Bulldogs conquered the Salinas Packers by a score of 34-0.—United Press.
