As no further nominations to serve on the Municipal Council have been received, the American Community Committee will not hold any election for the selection of American candidates. Mr. C. S. Franklin has been nominated by Mr. S. T. Bitting, of the National City Bank of New York, and his nomination was seconded by Mr. P. H. Bordwell, of the Robert Dollar Company, Mr, W. H. Plant has been nominated by' Mr: A. C. Cornish, of the Standard Vacuum Oil Company, and his nomination was seconded by Mr, N. E. Lurton, Vice-President of the Navy J. Mi. C. A These two nominations have been duly filed with the Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Council on March 10 as the unanimous choice of the American community.
