A Vivid Night Raid in Hankow

Canton, Mar. 15.

Japanese planes, after a period of inactivity, bombed the Yinstong Military Academy and anti-aircraft batteries in the vicinity of the White Cloud Mountains, northeast of Canton, this morning.

Official sources state that 22 Japanese planes participated in the raid; eleven of these flying over the city itself, while the remaining eleven visited Cheungmuktau, on the Canton-Kowloon Railway. No damage to the line, however, has been reported as yet.

The anti-aircraft guns were more accurate in their firing to-day than heretofore, the shells bursting very close to the raiders. No hits were registered, however.—Reuter.
