String of Military Cars Held up for Half Hour Japanese army trucks which apparently had not complied with the French pass regulations were again held up by the French Police at the foot of Avenue Edward VII during the timfn hour on March 7, line of about fifteen cars destined for Nantao, was delayed for halt an hour, after which most of them were permitted to proceed along the Quai de France. Later in the afternoon the remaining trucks were allowed to pass.
