Col. Lindbergh's Strictures

British Government Had "Some Knowledge" Of Adverse Report at Time of Czech Crisis

London, Oct. 10. INTERESTED quarters here were buzzing with comment today over the letter sent to the "Pravda' in Moscow by a group of prominent Soviet airmen, who protested against Colonel Charles Lindbergh's estimation of the U.S.S.R.'s air organization.

In their letter, the Russian aviators, recently the American airman's hosts, stated that his report was discussed by the "Clive-don Set" at Lady Astor's house, and was communicated to the British Government, They alleged that he had belittled the Soviet Union's air power.

It is admitted here that Col, Lind-verge' communteated his findings in the USSR. to the United States Ambassador here, but it is denied that his report' was discussed Lady Astor's house which is reputed among some people to be a gathering-place of Fascist-inclined Britons of Influence.
