With two teams each from the Columbia Country Club, Foreign Y.M.C.A,, Shanghai Race Club, Shanghai American Club and U.S. Marines, and one each from the Marine Officers and the German Club, a total of twelve teams have joined the junior league. Last year there were only half a dozen teams, but the presence of an ever-growing number of new bowlers in the various clubs has been mainly responsible for this increased representation.
The ladies league has attracted six entries. The Columbia Country Club play a major part, putting up three teams and making a total of seven in active competition this season. The Foreign YM.C.A., German Club and Marine Officers' Ladies each entered one squad.
