Stock prices on Wall Street to-day hed with mostly losses, ranging up to about 3 points, with the rally on the past four days bringing profit-taking which deprived the market of active short covering. Consequently, the market became very sluggish and sank up to about 4 points, before rallying moderately. Chemicals were the heavies losers, while steels weakened in response to discouraging steel news. Rails were slightly under pressure, while merchandisings ruled easier in response to a sharp drop in March sales, The turnover to-day amounted to 480,000 shares, Dow-Jones Averages 30 Indust. 20 Rails 20 Utilities 40 Bonds 11 Commod.
