Nanking, Nov. 1 The Ministry of Communications has issued instructions forbidding ships to discharge all within 50 miles fof the coast, The Ministry states:—According {0 a communication received from the Communications and Transportation Technical Ad~ Visory Committee of the League of Nations, ships are casting off oil in seas and, as a result, sea water is decerning increasingly adulterated. Tt ig, therefore, suggested that ships should not be allowed to cast off oil within 50 miles of the sea coast, but this matter cannot be effectively' carried out without international cooperation. The Ministry is, therefore, Instrueting the various shipping companies to observe the above order."—Reuter.
