Hankow, Oct, 30, It is reported that the French Con sulate here has protested to the /Munan Provincial Government against the measures taken by the latter for the suppression of the [Hunan branch of the International [Savings Society.
In reply to the protest, the Hunan Provincial Government, besides lafirming the propriety of its action against the "LSS, requests the French Consulate "to advise the LSS, to wind up its affairs in Hunan immediately "so as to avoid further clearance and helpfulness are neces sary in order to effect a settlement which will not only not injure many Dut will promote the best interests of the majority.
