Sir Robert Craigie, H.M. Ambassador to Tokyo, accompanied by Lady Craigie, arrived yesterday afternoon in the Canadian Pacific liner, Empress of Canada, on a short visit to Sir Archibald Clark Kerr, H.M. Ambassador to China. Besieged by a host of pressmen on board the ship, Sir Robert denied that his visit had any political significance. He is seen in the picture (left) walking towards the British Ambassador's car at the Shanghai and Hongkew Wharf with (left to right) Lady Craigie, Sir Herbert Phillips, H.M. Consul-General, and Mr. P. M. Broadmead, Chinese Counsellor.
