Mr. E. R. Stettinius, Jr., chairman of the board of U.S. Steel, told company stockholders at their annual meeting today that he was hopeful about the immediate outlook for the steel industry "I hope," he said, "that general business, which advanced slightly in the latter half of last year, will coniprove."—United Press, Nat.
