Diplomatic Activity in London

London, Apr. 11.

After "seeing M. Ivan Maisky, the Soviet Ambassador in London, at the Foreign Office for over half an hour Rome, Apr. 11.

"Unless exceptional circumstances arise, no more contingents will be called to the colours," an official com-announced today.

It re-|] vealed that the full effectives of two classes have already been called to arms. These are in addition to men serving regular periods of consoription and the many specialists enlisted for periods of training.

"With the recall of the full effectives of the 1901 and 1912 contingents and the under colours of the 1917 and 1918 classes and a small part of the 1919 class, added to the recall of a number of technicians of other contingents, the effectives of the Italian Army stationed in metropolitan territory have reached a high level," the statement says. 3 "Present tension cannot continue indefinitely without Europe catching fire. The next few weeks will prove decisive," reliable observers here told Havas today. Fascist quarters express the opinion that, "The ease with which Italy secured her success the Adriatic should serve to confirm beliefs that Italy may now use the same methods as the Reich with equal success."
