Ata meeting yesterday, the Finance Committee of the Legislative Yuan decided to introduce to the plenum session a bill for revising the existing Stamp Tax Law. so that, both Gove ginment and forclzn owned shipping companies will equally pay stamp tax for their bills of lading.
The suggested revision, It was learned, was made upon the request of the British Embassy, which claimed that the exemption from stamp tax by Government owned "shipping enterprises has put British shipping companies at a disadvantage.
