Barlund Matched with Lou Nova New York, Sept. 19
King prize-fight promotor Mike Jacobs announced today that heavyweight Gunnar Barlund, former Finnish Olympic heavyweight champion, will fight Lou Nova, popular west coast fighter, in an elimination bout in Madison Square Garden on October 3 in place of his scheduled appearance with Bob Pastor, a contender for the heavyweight crown.
Pastor will be unable to appear because his leg was cut recently while he was chopping wood and has not yet healed. The winner of the Garden fight will probably be matched with Pastor—United Press.
