ADMIRALTY'S SCHEME OF INSURANCE

To meet the widespread wish in the Fleet for an insurance scheme the Board of Admiralty has made arrangements with the Equitable Life Assurance Society and the North British and Mercantile Insurance Ca. whereby naval ratings and Royal Marines (other ranks) can make provision for their benefit on discharge or for their dependents, "Special facilities will be granted, beneficial both to the company and to the rating. Premiums. will be deducted' from pay,. and medical examination, although not generally required, will, when necessary, be made by a naval medical officer, In view of these facilities the companies have made reductions in the premiums to be charged on any policy arranged under this scheme, There will be an arrangement of a set of Policies covering all risks in peace and war, including foreign service, and flying and submarine risks, without any extra premiums whatever.
