The British community of Shanghai gathered in force at the Country Club on Monday, May 29, to bid farewell to Admiral H. E. Yarnell, departing Commander-in-Chief of the United States Asiatic Fleet, and Mrs. Yarnell. The Farewell At Home was given under the auspices of the British Chamber of Commerce, China Association Shanghai Branch and Sir Herbert Phillips and Mr. C. H. Arnhold greet Col. the British Residents' Association of China. Admiral Yarnell is shortly leaving for the United States to assume a new appointment. In the photo and Mrs, J. C.
