Although officials of the Celanese Corporation decline to amplify details, it is understood, however, that the new plant of the Corporation would be used for the manufacture of synthetic yarn for hosiery.
Traders consequently expect that this product would compete with the new yarn to be manufactured by EL. Clu Pont de Nemours, which Company.has also announced the establishment of a new plant.
Silk circles on the Commodity Exchange are not much worried over the situation at present, owing to the fact that the production on a commercial scale of the new Celanese and Pont yarns is not expected to be ready for at least one year.—Reuter.
