London, Sept. 19.
A second British naval air base in the Mediterranean will be established in Gibraltar shortly. All owners or tenants of houses and shops in the western part of the town have—according to despatches here—been ordered to evacuate their premises within the next three months. Immediately after their evacuation the houses in question will be demolished to make room for a vast airport. Hitherto Malta had been the only British air base in the Mediterranean.
