Services Are Gladly Accepted

Nanking, Sept. 23.

"An outstanding triumph of rational sentiment over every other consideration," is how General Chiang Kai-shek, President of the Executive Yuan and Commander-in-Chief of China's armed forces, in a statement to-day, described the manifesto in which the Chinese Communist leaders announced the dissolution of the "Soviet Republic of China" and the reorganization of the Red Army into a "Nationalist Revolutionary Army" placed at the disposal of Nanking.

"The decision to abandon violence, the cessation of Communist propa-gouda, the abolition of Chinese Soviets, the disbandment of the Red Army. are all essential measures," the Generalissimo declared, "towards the mobilization of national strength for the purpose of repelling attacks on our national existence.

"The National Government stands for equal opportunity of all Chinese citizens to serve the Republic and gladly to accept the services of any political organization which sincerely desires to stem foreign aggression and to work for the cause of the Nationalist revolution under the leadership of the Kuomintang.

"The foundation of the Chinese State rests firmly on the Three Peo-rie's Principles, This foundation is immutable, and will not be suffered to be changed or threatened.

"The consolidation of internal solidarity further enables us to marshal our national resources to combat external aggression in a spirit of reliance.

"1 am firmly convinced that, in fighting for her own existence, China is-also fighting for the cause of international peace and justice."—Reuter.
