IStw—Would not it be worthwhile reminding the general newspaper reader, that quite a number of major events that have taken place during the last four or five years are not of a political nature only, but comprise, also, an apocalyptic substance. For example—in the Old Testament ' it has been predicted by prophets, that in the beginning of the apocalyptic era there shall occur a resurrection of the Roman Empire. The lat will conquer Ethiopia, ie. Abyssini and march along further to the west in order to obtain Egypt. It has also keen predicted that the Jews will be riven out of many countries by force, that they shall return to Palestine where they are going to establish their own State. It has also been predicted, "that the kings from the country of the Eastern Sunrise" will approach Euphrates making their way through India. It was told, that the great battle of rations shall take place in the valley of Armageddon, near Iraq the nations being interested in' "black gold." In our century oil and gasoline are being called by that name. It 4 easy to understand that the might the western navy depends on the oil supply—no fleet can exist without fuel—and Iraq is known for its oil, supplying England, France und partly Italy. It has been said, also, that the winds which for a very long period of time have been blowing from Arabia into the sea shall turn their direction during the period in question and blow backward from the sea onto the deserts of Palestine, thus changing the desert into a garden (winds blowing from the sea Have a great content of moisture).
Whenever one takes a glance at what is actually happening now in front of our eyes—one only wonders how little people understand the great apocalyptic process now "on display." Humanity is being actually divided into two great fronts—the religious and the godless. It is worthwhile remembering that beth Hitler and Mussolini informed their subordinates, that "they cannot believe in a God who has suffered. In other words they are doing exactly what has been predicted in the apocalypse and by the prophets, i.e. that nations and states shall deny God and worship the forces of bare nature, Germany is taking the lead in this connection and is actually re-establishing humanity's prehistoric religion and savagedom. In this respect modern Germany is the most anti-Christian country in the world, in spite of the fact that it opposes itself to communism, which is just as savage as racism and national-social ism.
It is known that Mussolini dreams of making the Mediterranean an "inner sea" of the resurrected Roman Empire. Egypt, Spain and Palestine jate his next objects of aggression. The free Palestine State shall be established at the time when Rome will again recapture its former territories. On the other hand, bare logical reasoning is sufficient a method for proving to oneself, that the events mentioned are now actually taking place. I do not know whether the ti christ has already been born or not, but it looks as if the social conditions throughout the world represent a very good field for the latter's activity.
