The British Government has agreed to purchase a considerable percentage of wool-clip produced in the Union South—Africa; it- was officially 4 dept here today. The price pproximátes that paid for Australian wool—Reuter. seventeen hydro-electric and five coal power plants throughout Japan, the monopolist Japan Electric Power Generation and Trans-mission Corporation soon will be able to supply enough power to meet increasing demands in connection with enforcement of the industrial production expansion programme, the Kokumin IShihbun said today.
The total electric power generated will amount to 650000 kw. upon completion of the new plants, the paper said.
Construction of the two remaining plants Will get under way soon. The plants should be completed in 1943.—Domei. ' E
