Japanese Spokesman Says "Menace" Now Over Aboard Japanese Warship, Oct, 20.
With the greater part of its fleet sunk or disabled and its air force badly crippled, the Kwangtung Navy has "virtually lost its power and is no longer a menace, a Japanese naval officer declared to-day.

"On September 14," The officer recalled. "Japanese warships sank two cruisers anchored near the Tigris forts. No less than ten cruisers and torpedo boats, were sunk early in October and now only smaller units remain, some seeking refuge in the upper reaches of the Pearl River and others in the port of Macao."—Domel.
