Tue Parent-Teacher association has brought about a wonderful "understanding between the parents, the teachers and the pupils. When I was a boy, the parents understood only one side and that was the children's. The men teachers had to be careful out what boy they whipped because they would probably have'ta whip the boy's father, toó.
I remember one teacher who use'ta pull my right ear when I was unruly. but I was afraid to tell papa because Of what he might do to the teacher. Finally one day, papa noticed my right ear was red and J had to- teil him had can Papa w furious, With fire eyes, he grabbed a pen and paper and he wrote a note to the teacher, He said, "Dear Sir, I notice you have been pulling my son's right ea until it sticks out an inch and a half further than the other one. It looks terrible! For goodness sakes, pull on the other ear for a while!"
